    Can't Believe My CyberQ Wifi...

    To be honest...no, I don't use the remote functions. I haven't gotten there yet. I'm just not a tech-type.

    Can't Believe My CyberQ Wifi...

Still lov'n my CQ! Works great in the WSM, too. I just recently set the CQ to do a 450* cook in my Primo. It took a little while for it to get there, since I only lit one spot and closed it up. At any rate, 3 to 5 degree swings, once at 450*...amazing! In the WSM, I do often do 250 to 350*...

    CyberQ Wifi Trouble!!!

Ok...I'm trying to set up my CQ in Infrastructure mode, without port forwarding. I set to Infrastructure, switch off DHCP, set to Static IP of my CQ, give it my home network name in SSID field, change to WPA2 Passphrase, enter my network password, hit Submit, then turn the CQ off, then back on...

    Can't Believe My CyberQ Wifi...

Set up the the CyberQ Wifi for 250. Lit one spot in my Primo XL, set upper door to about 1/8" open, closed the lid and let it go. Within 1/2 hour, temp was inching up to 250. 1 degree overshoot and that's it! In the 1/2 hour, swings from 245 to 252...amazing. I am completely amazed because my...

    CyberQ Wifi Trouble!!!

I kinda did want to access the CQ from outside the home, however to start with, perhaps I could set it up without port forwarding, then add it later. Is that possible?

    CyberQ Wifi Trouble!!!

I thought you had to go into the router and change to port forwarding and do something with the mac address?

    CyberQ Wifi Trouble!!!

Just unplugged the router, then plugged it back in again and now I have a connection again. Will I have to do this every time connect to the CyberQ, then want to get back to my home network? Where did I go wrong?

    Nomex Tape Seal...

That's why I advised to test fit before sticking it down. The nomex has to sit in just the right place to seal, but not prevent the fit. There is a happy medium.

    Nomex Tape Seal...

I did something very different for the door. I rolled up a very thin length of foil and glued it around the door. I then closed the door very deliberately, as I press fit the foil until the door latched. I tried using the nomex, but I felt it was just too thick. The foil made a nice, tight...

    Nomex Tape Seal...

Look up front of this thread. I believe there are pics, albeit not the greatest. Test fit exactly where the tape should go before taking off the backing. Put it in the wrong place and your center section won't fit in the bottom.

    Nomex Tape Seal...

Weird...the tape I got was just peel and stick and it stuck well!

    Nomex Tape Seal...

You had to spread adhesive? The tape comes with adhesive already applied to the tape...why did you have to apply adhesive?

    Nomex Tape Seal...

I noticed that the coals go out faster. I also found it easier to hold the lower temps...just more controllable. Also, you can't dismiss the added confidence you get knowing that your pit is sealed and under your control.
