    Foiled again!

Thanks guys, my Weber and I plan to do battle with a couple of chickens in a few days. Yeah, I'll line my water pan with aluminum since I hate to clean. When the smoke clears I'll take a few pics and let you guys see the...er ah...foils of war.

    Foiled again!

Thanks guys, but I'm still a little unclear about why one would foil the water pan. Is there so much grease that not using foil would cause a ton more work? Confused in California.

    Foiled again!

Hey gang, it's been a few weeks since my last post, hope everyone is doing OK. I've had my Weber now for several weeks, and ordered a BUNCH of wood from eBay which I got Friday. Now I'm ready to roll. I was checking out some of the cooking tips here and noticed that foil was used to cover the...

    Decisions, Decisions

I did it! I placed my order for the WSM this morning, just couldn't wait another minute. With briskets and spare ribs dancing in my head the thought of putting off my order was too painful. I crossed the line and joined the brotherhood of smokers, or like Paul said, I guess this makes me a...

    New slogan for TVWB

    1) Fire up a WSM and watch your life go up in smoke. 2) WSM - when you don't mind getting smoke in your eyes. 3) WSM - it doesn't mean ECB! 4) WSM - smoke this sucka! 5) Yon Brutus has a lean and hungry look, he smokes much. 6) A Weber! A Weber! My kingdom for a Weber! 7) Smoke unto...

    Decisions, Decisions

I sure did, and I plan to order BOTH these items tonight if all goes well. BTW, I'm not very clear on the eyelets. Does this entail drilling or punching holes in the WSM?

    ET-73 at Amazon.com

It's a done deal, I'll order both the WSM and the ET-73 through this site.

It certainly did help Rath, you may have sold me completely on the ET-73. Thanks!

    Outstanding Rub

Hey Tom, thanks for the info, I'll be paying these guys a visit ASAP.

    Decisions, Decisions

That's true Keith, it probably isn't as difficult as it sounds and you hit it right on the head, it's the idea of drilling into that nice shiny surface that gives me the willies. If the ET-73 does as great a job as it sounds I suppose having one would spare me the trouble of buying that...

    Decisions, Decisions

The ET-73 is now officially on my 'hit list', meaning I'll probably order it within the next 2 weeks. Thanks Greg for the tip (no pun intended) Now to find the wood...

    Decisions, Decisions

Thanks for the input gang. As far as drilling is concerned I don't know if I trust my skills. If I do a Gilligan... That Maverick thermometer looks promising. Here's another one I found on Amazon, what do you think...

    Decisions, Decisions

It's funny when I think about it now, but I used to think Brinkman as 'top-of-the-line' until that fateful day when I checked out the WSM on Amazon and read the reviews and did some comparisons. My world has never been the same since. I have a couple of questions for you pros out there. 1)...

    Decisions, Decisions

Man, you guys are gettin me fired up! I bought that 'Cooking With Smoke and Spice' book from Amazon last week and got it several days ago. Holy Moses, the cover alone made me drool all over myself. And the recipes??? Has anyone tried them? Probably a redundant question since I've got a feeling...
