History Channel - Where There's Smoke

I didn't see this posted before but the History Channel series The Food That Built America has a new episode about the the emergence of grilling in America that appears to include George Stephens development of the kettle grill. I'm looking forward to it...

Weber says they have discontinued the Hanger Rack for the WSM's for 2017

Amazon says they have the rack for the 22" in stock yet. https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00FDOOP72/tvwb-20 I never wanted one for my 18" WSM but now that I can't get it, I really want one! LOL

Traditional Christmas porky lunchmeat from Scandinavia. Sylte.

Seeing your sylte brings back memories of my grandmother's sylte when I was a kid. She always served it with little vinegar and lefse and butter on the side. About this time of year I miss her krumkake, fatiman, sankake (apologies for spelling) and other Christmas cookies. Thanks for sharing!

    Pam???

Pam works well but for best results, you need the Pam specifically for grilling (high heat). It says Grilling right on the front of the can.

    Weber Summit S-450

Last year I bought a new '08 S-450 for $1,269.00 and thought it was a pretty good deal. A "seasoned" one for that money would be a good get considering they are going for $1,700 new on Amazon. Best grill I ever owned, you will love it.
