I am in the former group replacing my 2009 Summit 450 with a Summit FS 38 S NG grill. I really like the temperature control and the flexibility of the Weber Crafted Collection system.
I didn't see this posted before but the History Channel series The Food That Built America has a new episode about the the emergence of grilling in America that appears to include George Stephens development of the kettle grill. I'm looking forward to it...

Seeing your sylte brings back memories of my grandmother's sylte when I was a kid. She always served it with little vinegar and lefse and butter on the side. About this time of year I miss her krumkake, fatiman, sankake (apologies for spelling) and other Christmas cookies.

Last year I bought a new '08 S-450 for $1,269.00 and thought it was a pretty good deal. A "seasoned" one for that money would be a good get considering they are going for $1,700 new on Amazon. Best grill I ever owned, you will love it.
