I like your 3-hole damper that you showed on the other thread. Less travel for the servo. Once thing I have thought of with the dampers is that I intend to connect mine to a an air burner with a hose, so it would be nice to be able to mount the damper to a board or some flat surface to keep it...

So over Thanksgiving I finally managed to try my HeaterMeter, RotoDamper, and Air burner. I have an offset smoker, so I constructed an air burner with a baffle on the firebox. I gotta say I was pretty pleased with the design of the air burner and the baffle, and it seems to work very well...

Interesting that gives me a lot to think about. With regards to the firebox, its a cylinder on its side of course, and I have a cubicle coal basket - flat on the bottom, so that would leave a perfect space under it to pipe in an air burner. As far as the damper goes, if you're looking at the...
