    Project: Kettle Table

The tile table looks great! Before you posted about the aluminum to raise the bowl I was wondering about the seal of the lid. Would you mind posting a picture of the whole table? I am also interested to see how you used the concrete board as an insulater under the top. It looks like the...

    Firebricks

so a regular pizza stone will work? it seems like the temp in those pizza ovens is really hot so I am guessing you would need a good bit of lit charcoal. If using a pizza stone, is it necessary to raise it up with the bricks? I am really interested to try pizza on the kettle.

    Flat Attempt

My favorite little shack for brisket sandwiches slices the beef fairly thin and leaves the slices turned on edge...you still get the benefit of the shorter fibers but it stays neat on the bun, and it is a generous portion of meat on each sandwich. Burnt crud in Cast Iron Skillet *****

I found a 8" cast iron skillet that was my wife's grandmothers. It had not been used in years. There was no rust but a lot of burnt flaky buildup. I decided to start over with the seasoning in effort to get the inside of the pan thoroughly clean, I used an angle grinder and a stripper...

Finally Brave enough to post it!

Would a hot plate work for this as well? Maybe a little more simple than the gas?

A longer burn process for kettles

If it helps anyone, i got my firebricks from Gulf Eagle Supply. They sell them individually for $1.30. It was nice to not have to order a pack of 6 from Ace's website and the $/brick is less. bd
