    Pizza Stone

I have cracked a couple of generic pizza stones, so I went with the BGE stone and have been very happy with it. I believe it is made from the same ceramic as the egg itself and can withstand some serious heat.

    Performer or OTG?

I have both and I use the Performer more. The added features are great and make it more convenient to use. The bottom line is that they both cook the same so you can't go wrong with either.

Question for newer ('05+) Performer owners

I think I had mine about a year before I figured it out.

    Need Advise ???

Yep. It looks like the thermometer is missing. Easy to replace. Otherwise that grill looks great! I'd grab it in a second.

    New(ish) Performer!

I agree with Don. I only use the coal baskets when I am doing an indirect cook. For most high heat cooks I recommend a 2 zone fire with about a chimney full of coals. For steaks I use a 3 zone fire so I can get a good sear on them.

Does anyone know what this is?

You are correct. I saw one on ebay recently and it was described as a corn and potato holder. I believe it was a Weber product. The packaging looked very old on the ebay item.

    My first Weber gas grill

Nice score! It looks like a Genesis Silver C from around 1999-2001. I had one for 8 years and it was a great grill.

Same with mine. It will vary unpredictably. When I see the American origin lump I stock up.
