Craycort makes a cast iron grate that will fit the upper grate: http://www.cast-iron-grate.com/grates-for-weber-charcoal-grills/18-5-kettle-grills.html I'm not aware of anyone else that makes a more stout grate. Would be nice if someone did offer some nice strong stainless steel ones.
