Pork Belly: Fresh versus Frozen...

... for bacon. So far have only been able to locate frozen. How big of a compromise would using frozen be?
 
Thanks Kevin. Reading about, it seems all everyone uses is "fresh" but I honestly can't imagine all that pork belly traveling about hasn't been frozen. Obviously, local or a heritage breed might be preferred but...
