Has anyone ever had part of their thermometer melt? I sat the part the probes plug into too close to the WSM and it melted and no longer works properly. Has anyone ever attempted having that part replaced or am I stuck having to buy a whole new set?

haven't had that problem, but I would call customer service and ask.))))::::::::::::::::>> d
 
Follow up... I spoke with a rep at Maverick Industries and I was able to order a replacement remote transmitter for $26.25. Not too bad in my opinion.
