Wisconsin > Madison: Brickhouse BBQ

I have been to this place several times. Kind of a more upscale place, but not fancy. Chicken, ribs, pork were all quite good. I think their best meat is the sausage. The brisket was nicely cooked, but had a more herbal note to the seasoning than I like for BBQ. Sides are good as well. Well worth a trip.

My wife and I ate there on Monday and I agree that it's pretty good.

We ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, and a burger. All were good and the medium-rare burger we ordered was delivered medium-rare. I really like the pit beans, too...good flavor and a little spicy.

Brickhouse has 3 house-made sauces: KC style (left, the sweetest), mustard (center, slightly sweet), and vinegar (right, slightly sweet).
