Mr Browns Rub

Sometimes table salt is preferred in rubs in order to match the granular size of other ingredients in the rub. I will use a non-iodized table salt or pickling salt when rub recipes call for table salt.

If you prefer to use kosher for whatever reason, you'll need to use more of it by volume. See this link:

All About Salt: Salt Equivalent Measures

For example, if using Diamond Kosher Salt, you'll need to use 4 TBSP in the Mr. Brown rub instead of 2 TBSP table salt.

Regards,
Chris

sorry for the late ..thank you ...

used the kosher salt and all was well. Great flavor from the rub but that darn pepper gives me wicked heartburn. Probably a one-time use for me.
