hickory wood for smoke.
while that was smokin', Liz wanted to can some salsa she whipped up...
so got the burner set-up outside before the rain drops.

once that got going, I threw together some party mix from a recipe I found in the latest KCBS BullSheet
here it is:

Jim, that recipe contains a glaring and insulting error.

It equates margarine with butter.;)

Looks great Jim! I'm sure it's going to be a great dinner(your lemonade). Send some of that rain my way!

Jim... I knew I was going to love this post when I read your title line. I love Chex Mix. My wife makes it every Christmas and bags it and gives it to the family. Definitely will try yours, soon. The butt looks great too. Know it will be great.

Cookin up a storm of good grub as usual. Love the two story WSM. I really like Chex mix, I'll have to show that to Barb for her next Bunco game.

I have been using Bad Byron's Butt Rub in place of seasoned salt in the original Chex mix recipe for years. Love the idea of doing it in the smoker. Going to give that a go this fall.

Another fantastic cook Jim and yes I will be doing the snack recipe real soon love that stuff.

snacks look great, still waitin' on dinner.......

Jim - this looks fantastic! But I don't see any word on results!!! (one can assume perfection of course... )
oops, sorry folks, I completely forgot.... here are a few photos...

after the butt reached 200ºF, I foiled it, rested it for an hour while I used the WSM to grill some corn

then pulled the pork...

plated the pork inside some Greek pita flat breads...
