    Lifting the charcoal ring?

My 18 " WSM's cook just fine the way they are . Most of the time I pack the charcoal in , so lifting the coal rack would limit the amount of coal I can pack in .

    Pit Minder question

Looks like all my equipment is becoming dinosaurs . I had heard about the Cyber Q but didn’t know the Pit minder was on the way out . If memory serves me , the Digi brought the end to the Competitor. You , well I would think the Cyber Q would bring end to the Pro com keeping the low end Pit...

    Best injector?

To me it is all about fit and feel in the hand . I do like the injectors with a point on the needles that "shoot out the side" and not the end. It is a personal thing , just find one you like. I dont like the ones with the rings s for the finger grips , but , thats me . Rick

    Pit Minder question

I have three of the Pit Minders. I love these units, simple , do just what I need. I like the idea of the Stoker , just so many people have said the c/s could be so much better. I will tell you , if I was to need another unit , I would go for a Pitminder with out question! Rick

    Kingsford Competition Briquets press release

I found some at the Burlington NC H D last week end! I used it for the first time this Saturday. The idea was to test it equally against R/O lump. I used two WSM’s with Guru Pit minders and digital thermometers. So how do you create a fair cook with two different fuels? I filled the fire ring...
