WTB: Genesis Burner Knob Valve Stems

Hi all,

My 11' Genesis 310 took a tumble resulting in some cracked knobs and bent or sheared valve stems. I've seen these posts before looking for the stems alone as a product to buy, which is always met with the same frustrating conclusion that you have to buy a replacement manifold or at the very least burner assemblies.

I find it pretty wasteful that a simple mechanism prone to such failure can't be easily obtained. My research has led me to Copreci as a possible manufacturer of the assemblies and I've contacted them to see if they produce or purchase the stems to acquire them that way. I expect to be waiting a while and met with disappointment, but damned if I'll say I didn't try.

Similar (but unfortunately not identical) assemblies can be obtained from Alibaba for dollars a piece. That's a price I could live with, but unfortunately, I can't find this design available there. I've gone so far as to measure and model the stem and am researching swiss machine facilities to determine whether they're feasible to reproduce. I don't know how many varieties of this stem there are across Weber grills, but I trust there are enough people out there who need replacements that I could fulfill a minimum order quantity.

This was a bit long-winded to eventually ask if anyone has a part-out Genesis that would be willing to sell me a couple of valve stems, but I thought I'd share the journey that got me here. Edit to mention that this is for a propane system - I know the assemblies differ between propane and natural gas, but I haven't seen a natural gas unit to know whether the stem itself is different.

Yes, that is the grill - it's a 2011 Genesis 310. I believe the "GENVLV-LP" is the correct individual burner assembly and there is obviously a full manifold available too. I completely recognize there's a solution available but it's equally as affordable (if not cheaper) to hunt down a full grill to gut for parts on Facebook Marketplace. I've just seen success stories here in the past where someone had the grill to part out and these would be simple enough to remove and ship. I haven't yet given up on sourcing just the brass part.

Your best bet is to look for any Genesis grill with that style valve. Even ones with sear burner IIRC called a 330? Because the main burner BTU are the same. So simply find any Genesis of that era buy it for parts and scavenge the valves. The way those things are showing up dirt cheap or free because of how badly they rust away makes it an easy candidate to find donor grills
