Would a 22" kettle rotisserie ring work on WSM if it were flipped with new holes cut for drive motor and rod slotted groove? Has anyone tried with any success?

Be careful with this ring, as it states in the feature list:

"【Suitable Models】Fits for 18-18 1/2 inch outer diameter charcoal kettle grills. ( DO NOT FIT WSM Cooker)." [emphasis added].

Also, a number of unhappy customers confirming in the Amazon ratings that it doesn't fit the 18.5" WSM. I was interested this one until I read those things.

But, I believe that the Cajun Bandit ring IS reversible, if they still make it.

If you flip the mid section it should fit, but everything will be in the upside down world.

I tried the link for the Cajun Bandit 18.5″ rotisserie kit from the VWB Rotisseries For Weber Smokers page that was referenced above, and I got a "Oops! That page can’t be found." message - apparently Cajun Bandit doesn't sell that kit any longer. I also tried the Rib-O-Lator 18″ Ring Combo Package link from the same page, and got an "OUT OF STOCK!" message. So the options are at the moment seem to be to turn the midsection upside down and try the "Only-Fire" unit from Amazon to see if it will work, or, gen up some sort of home brew ring that will fit, .
