WSM 22 question????

Just wondering thinking about investing in a WSM 22 was wondering how hard is it to keep a constant steady temp in these smokers does it mover around a lot in temperature or can you keep it pretty steady? I like to cook around 225 just wondering how easy it is to keep in the temp range you want to cook at.
 
Hi Josh, it is designed to stay between 200 and 250 with slight damper adjustments, so you should not have any problem. You will not be disapointed.
 
The WSM design is excellent for holding a steady temp for a long time.

It takes a bit of practice to learn how to dial yours in. But once you do, it's "set it and forget it".
 
I have been able to get it to 225 and it's dead on for hours. Always make sure you have a surface thermometer though. Sometimes the temp may not be 100% accurate.
 
When I got mine, I would over adjust and went from one extreme to the other. I think some was me and some was an unseasoned cooker. Now it will hold very steady for hours and hours. Amazing. Worth every penny.
 
What everyone else says. I agonized over what kind of smoker to get. After getting and using the 22 WSM, I couldn't be happier. Fantastic device! First time I did an overnight smoke I was amazed. Steady 240 F for 10 hours.
