Will the center section of the WSM 22 fit on the 22 kettle? I've seen a few of these for sale here and there for decent prices, so I wondered if that would work on the kettle.
Now the details.... (my recent experiece). I have a 2010 Weber OTG that I used a 2009 WSM 22.5 Mid section that I was given by a family memeber. Fits like a glove (one person suggested that I have to turn it upside down to fit - no true. Right side up is the way to go). The issue is the lid for 22.5 kettle vs. 22.5 WSM. You will need a 22.5 WSM lid fo the mid section to fit and work properly. It will look (and will be) very tall. My Sons and I call ours 'Tall boy'. Good luck.
