I'm pretty fond of my Smokey Joe Silver/Gold Hybrid but I hated that nasty plastic handle.

Brian O'Neal makes these cool handles with aluminum inserts for the SJG & SJP to let you have wood and locking functionality.

How does one contact Brian?

We don't have PMs here; so I went to the member list and found his name and email address, but I've had no response. I'd like to buy a handle for my SJS and handles for my OTG.
 
Awesome.

My next project will be to convert a 18OTx in to a jumbo Joe. When that time comes, these are exactly what I will need.

I am waiting on some regular handles from Brian already. They look tremendous.

Greg, how did you finish trhat handle?

Gerd - I soaked them in stain before this picture but I've since applied a thinned coat of Spar Urethane varnish to seal them up.
 
I received my wooden handle for my new SJG from Brian a couple of days ago. It fits perfectly and it looks great too!

I am actually looking to convert my Silver to a hybrid Silver/Gold as well. I found parts online, but any suggestions on drilling through the grill itself?
