Wood question

Hi all. This is my first post here (with many more to come).

I planning to buy my WSM very soon and have a question.

I have a lot of old apple wood laying around and was wondering if old, seasoned wood is okay to use or if green wood is better.

DO NOT use green wood!!! Seasoned wood is what you're looking to burn. It should be clean and dry. If the wood appears to be rotting then it will not be any good for smoking. Seasoned wood is usually berween 6 months and 2 years old.
