Wobbly legs mod for kettle

I want to thank whoever put the mod in the boards. I do not have the time to find it again. I cut three - 3 inch sections or broom handle and slid them in the ends of my alum legs to my kettle. Two of them were loose so I used channel locks and GENTLY squeezed the alum. leg just a little so the wood stayed put. I took the base to my kettle and fliped it upside down and put it together. Make sure your little clips are still on yer legs to hold the ash pan. Then I used self tapping screws to hold each leg in. It was a little work to go through the "leg rings" because of weber quality but I did it! The wood inside did am awesome job. Like I said this is not my idea but I thought I would share. No more falling out legs or wobbling AT ALL!!

I totally went through my kettle cleaning with oven cleaner etc...Good as new now! One thing I can take credit for is that little cap on the bottom of the leg. You know, the one that is always missing? Sure you do! I grabbed my cap from my 20 oz. pepsi cola and it fits perfect! No more sinking in the ground! I put a little silicone on it just to keep it put! I can't wait to use my new kettle now!
