I was texting my wife the other day,and guess where she told me she was having lunch? A chain BBQ joint! Imagine my surprise! While it is a great joint,I can't eat commercially made BBQ anymore since I got my WSM earlier this year. So she quickly said she didn't have BBQ,just wings,and wanted me to try making wings like she had. So,I go get some wings,rub half with Stubbs chile-lime rub,half with Weber's Kickin' Chicken. Half a ring of lump and a couiple small chunks of hickory later,we were eating. I crisped the skin up on the gasser,no sauce. Very yummy. She said they weren't as salty as the ones that she had,but I liked them and will try them again.

I have not had BBQ at a chain in years...in all modesty, from what I've learned here, no chain place can come close to what I can make on the WSM with little effort.
 
i made whole wings last night with some garlic salt and celery salt and pepper. indierext then crisp up direct. no sauce. my first time and i really liked them. kinda wierd that i could taste the chicken. imagine that !
