WIFI won't always start or dies during use

Not sure what is going on. When I start my 4.0 HeaterMeter using model B rpi, the wifi adapter does not start all the time. Sometimes it takes me 10 tries to get ti to start up. Once it is running, it will run for a few hours then I lose the wifi connection. The main page will hang and if I reload the web page I get the following error displayed:

/usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:211: /etc/config/luci seems to be corrupt, unable to find section 'main'
stack traceback:
[C]: in function 'assert'
/usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:211: in function 'dispatch'
/usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:195: in function </usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:194>

If I restart the HeaterMeter and get the wifi going again, everything is fine for a few hours, then same stuff all over again. I wiped the SD card, reformatted, reinstalled the software and was in the process of configuring the wifi when the same error occurred when I tried to join my local network. Any ideas? Thanks.

I had that problem once which I ignored until it got extremely annoying. When I cracked the HM case I check the rPi connection, that the SD card was seated and I pulled the ATMege from it's socket and reseated it. After that the problem went away for good, not sure what fixed it but I suspect reseating he ATMega did the trick, you might do a reflow on the soldering of the ATMega socket while the chip is out.
