I was shopping at my local Tractor Supply Store and they had whiskey half barrels for sale as planters at $35. They vary a bit in diameter; but, most measure 20-22inches inside diameter. This got me to thinking of the possibility of making a stand for a 22.5 kettle I have with bad/loose leg sockets. If I look through the pile, I could probably find a good fit such that the bowl drops right in. Of course, the bottom of the barrel is intact and would need air / drain holes added plus some sort of stand to get it to the right height. I But, I think this might make a pretty cool project.
