Which gas Weber to get

Looking for a propane grill for those nights when I don't want to bother with setting up charcoal for 4 burgers for the 3 of us. Plenty of options for used Webers.. everything from a Summit Grill Center, to some Spirits, and everything in-between. Summit Silver and Golds, a Skyline Series. If I'm just looking for an easy cook.. what do you recommend?

If the only thing you want to do with it is cook burgers you can't hardly do better than maybe a Q3200 or the new 2800n Both incredibly versatile

Thanks for the replies already. These are the top two contenders. Skyline and 1st get Genesis. Anything to look out for with the older gassers? I thought about a Q but I think I want to stay vintage.

That Skyline looks to be in pretty good shape. It gets my vote. If the lid doesn't have fade you have something special but either way it's fantastic grill.

Honestly it's an easy choice for me.
I'd grab both.

You can get whatever you need for either grill. You can check the drip tray though and make sure its in decent shape but if it isn't you can get a new one available aftermarket.

Seeing pictures of the Skyline confirms it as my number one choice. As Josh mentioned it looks to be in pretty good shape for a 25 yr. old grill.

Also the black marks still present on the knobs is a really good sign.

That is a good sign. If you look you'll also notice there is no tank scale pointer or propane level sticker on the frame. There is a real good chance that grill is a rare 2000 model year Genesis 1200 Skyline. Now I'm actually a little envious.

Mine has a little fade that bugs me more than it should. I will probably make it one of my daily grills. Or continue to look for a better skyline lid.

One of the black Platinums I'm considering picking up next week in AZ looks to be a 2000 but it's my second choice for other reasons so we'll see

That bugs me more than a little. My skyline grill is in pieces in the garage. Unless I find a good lid it will probably stay that way for the foreseeable future.

On the black ones it's all about the condition of the lid, everything else can be dealt with.

True but if both of them have good lids I'll pay more for the nicer condition one especially in AZ where my time and tools are limited.
