Where to find Split Logs?

I live near Joliet IL. Anyone know where to puchase full split logs namely hickory apple or pecan.

Rick, look in your local newspaper or a free ad paper under firewood , I would bet somebody in one of those can fix you up.If not check the yellow pages for a sawmill and get some slab wood.I just got some apple from a tree trimmer friend of mine.

Rick, just a couple more ideas. See if you have any orchards in your area. They are always doing some kind of trimming. Also, call the power company and find out who does their tree trimming. Give them a call. Of course, it may help if they know what kind of wood they are cutting and you can identify the logs by the bark.
