DH said he just saw an announcement on TV that a new SUPERMAN series was coming back to TV.

IS THIS TRUE?
 
I wish they would bring back the original series. How I would love to see them again. Yes, I am a big Superman fan. Used to read all of the Superman comics I could get my hands on. (and a lot of other comics. Big comic book collector for many years in my youth.)
 
When I was a kid and watched The Adventures of Superman every day after school, I never understood why, when the bad guys would shoot their guns at Superman and he would just stand there with his fists on his hips while the bullets bounced off him and when the bad guys were out of bullets and threw their guns at Superman, he ducked out of the way to avoid being hit by them. Why would being hit by a thrown gun hurt worse than being shot by a bullet??
 
I just did a search and found out that this will be its SECOND season. Why did I not know this last year? lol

I also did a search on the original that started in 1952 and on for 6 seasons. Someone asked why it was cancelled and they said because Superman "punched" people and they found it objectionable. Took them 6 years to notice that? I wonder what those same people think about what is on TV now. lol
 
I think that’s why The New Adventures of Superman was cancelled, not the original series. In the original series, the guy who played Perry White (John Hamilton) died in late 1958, and not long after that (June 1959), George Reeves (Superman), committed suicide (officially), but some believe he was murdered.
