What's a good price for a Weber 26" OTG?

What's a good price for a gently used 26" OTG? I know they retail at $299.00. I believe this one is a few years old.

Welcome to the forum. If it is "gently used" I would offer $150 and see what the owner says. Personally, I wouldn't give over $175 unless it's in near mint condition.

Just bought a new 26 and I absolutely love it. Weber has redesigned the lid handle by adding a heat shield under the handle which keeps the handle from getting too hot to lift with your bare hand. And the lid holder is the cat's meow. I did have some problems with it which were promptly taken care of by Weber CS.

Tommy I sold a used one to a member here for $150. I would not go more than $170-$180 for a used one unless its practically brand new.

I bought a used one a couple of months back for $125. That seemed a little high to me, but it was in perfect condition. Usually, I like to wait for a bargain.

Thanks for the input guys! The seller is asking $150.00 which seems to be the going price. I may wait and see if the price drops since this is more of a want than need. Did anyone have buyer's remorse after getting the 26" OTG? I don't think I could swing a new one, the $299 seems like a huge jump from the 22" OTG price. I know it's Weber so It's probably worth it though.

Tommy I have my 26" and haven't even used it yet but I did get it really cheap. I usually use my performer or the smoker because I generally am only feeding 4. I'm sure I'll use it someday but for what I paid for mine I have no remorse at all.

I've used my 2012 model once in the two months I've had it.

Bought it from some warehouse here in Atlanta that apparently sells either rejected shipments or damaged boxed items. The grill was brand new, but had a bent front handle and 4 or 5 minor scratches in the lid. It was also missing the thermometer and bezel.

I bent the handle back straight, and used 1600 degree paint to touch up the spots where the paint flaked on the rebend. Then contacted weber customer service and they very promptly sent a new thermometer and bezel with minimum questions asked.

Unfortunately I just bought a large Big Green Egg and, between it and my Bubba Keg grill the 26 3/4 kettle will probably be used only for really large gatherings, where a lot of chicken leg quarter (or other large pieces) need to be cooked. I only paid $180.00

More often than not, I use my 22" MasterTouch. But I'm usually only cooking for two (sometimes three when my son is home or my mother in law stops buy). But if it's more than that I move up to the 26". A great deal of my grilling is indirect so I can only use about 60% of the grill space and that's not a lot of room on the 22". After using both, I feel that the 26" is probably the better family grill. I don't own an 18", but I can't imagine there's very much room on it at all.
