What to serve?

Something has come over me and I decided that I wanted to have a small bbq party (I am not normally a party person).

Anyway, I was going to smoke a brisket and two pork butts and was wondering what else I should serve. There will be about 20 adults and maybe 10-15 kids.

So far, I have:
Charo Beans
Veggie Trays with dip
Clementines
Chips
Potato Salad
Rolls

Anything that I am missing? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Brett

Cole Slaw, dessert, cupcakes are always fun....and when is it so? we can all come out and enjoy the warm weather with you and some great food???!!!

Start driving now - Saturday @ 1 MST.

It is supposed to be a chilly 72 degrees tomorrow.

I was thinking about adding cornbread. For desert, I was lazy and just bought every type of cookie @ Trader Joe's. Holiday Joe-Joe's, Vanilla Joe-Joe's, etc., and my favorite, the Maple Leaf cookies.

Brett, I think you have the bases covered...sounds like a great time!
I can be there in about 20 hours to help make sure there are no leftovers, if you wish.
I'll be sure to bring a coat for that "chilly" whether....

It never hurts to throw on some dogs or burgers for the kids. Add a few nice brews for the men to enjoy as he stand around the smoker and all will be good.
Enjoy

Well, a friend of the family wanted me to throw a couple of butts on, so now I have 40 lbs of butts and a 15 lb brisket on.

I haven't done that much before, and it is taking a little longer than usual to warm up to 250.

Thanks for the suggestions.

It turned out very well. Unfortunately, I tend to get mocked when I take pictures of food, so I didn't take any pictures. Plus with 30 people standing around - "Wait, just one more picture" wasn't going to go over well.

One thing that suprised me was that essentially I had to leave all the vents open 100% for ~18 hours to keep the smoker around 230. It wasn't windy that I could tell. Had to add some more briquettes about 12 hours in. Plenty of coals still, but temp was down to about 200.

Thanks,
Brett
