What are you smoking today?

Since today is going to be a combination Smoke on the Kettle/Do yard work day, thought I would see what others are using their Saturday for.

Today it's a halved Pork Shoulder with a side of mowed lawn and trellis lined blackberry plants. I hope each one of you in the Midwest is enjoying the break in the heat that we finally got after the last two weeks.

We've been under a AQ alert. Hazy, hard to breathe out there, but the temps and drop in humidity are nice.
No smoking for me.

It’s a perfect 75* with just a light breeze. It would be perfect if there was just a little less smoke. I should mow too, but I don’t really want to.

Eleven pounds of bacon are being smoked and pork chops will be grilled for dinner.

Nothing today but did 4 lbs. of drumsticks yesterday. First time trying the 0 - 400 method on the pellet pooper. Tossed them in oil and SPG and let them sit for a couple of hours. Cooked to 185 at 400 and the skin wasn't even close to crispy. Flavor was good but think I'll stick to the vortex for crispy skin.
