I just purchased welders gloves from Home Depot
$11.00
Today, National Welders Supply had their brand gloves for $5.25! They appear to be very serviceable.
 
The company I work for has kevlar gloves with the nippley rubber dots for about 6 bucks. Not sure how they hold up for heat, but for cuts they're supposed to be excellent. I'm going to get a pair and will report back.
5$ for a pair of welders gloves is outstanding!
