Weenie Roast

This is not so much about BBQ as it is about capability of WSM. I would like to have a weenie roast for some kids, but I don't want to destroy a patch of grass with a fire. Anybody see a problem with burning twigs from my oak and maple trees on the charcoal grate of my WSM and allowing the kids to burn hotdogs over the fire. Also will be doing marshmallows for smores.

Just make sure the kids don't burn themselves; other than that, I can't see how it would hurt your nice WSM.

Don't see any problem as long as it has a little supervision. Can't envision kids running into a bonfire, but can picture in my mind, exuberant young'uns knocking over the bottom part of the Bullet.

Ever consider a fire bowl. I have one of theses and love it. Very stable, looks nice. Not cheap but wiil last and won't ruin your grass. Check it out. Copper Fire Bowl
