weber rub and sauce just showed up at our grocery store. Anyone tried it? Given the quality of our weber bbqs, I'm thinking they might be worth a try.

I have used the "Beer Can Chicken" spice on my BCC and it was really good, the grocery store by my house has them for $2 each I picked up 3 other flavors as well

I've used several of their rubs and I find them quite good. Their Steak 'n Chops is one of my favorites now. Haven't tried their sauces.

I think the sauces are pretty good for store bought. I actually have two slabs of baby backs on right now that will be bathing in some of the sauce shortly!!

FWIW: Weber cooking products are very rare around my area. However, I have found McCormik rubs in my local Safeway. Their Grill Mates rubs seem fairly decent. I've used them in my last few cooks and have been pleased.

In some ways, using these commercial rubs has some advantages. First, the spices are probably fresher than what comes out of my pantry, and secondarily, the cost per cook for rubs is a little less. This should be good news if you can find a product you like; I have.

I've got a jar of the sauce but haven't opened it yet. I don't even remember buying it but I look forward to trying it when my Cattleman's and Rufus Teague run out.

The sauces are good, although they don't make for a good glaze w/out some doctoring. I've used light corn syrup to make them more "glazy" like.

I use the rubs when on sale at Albertson's (Jewel in my area) and I like em. Never tried the sauce.
