Hi! I just got a Weber Rotisserie for my 22 in. performer grill. I don't understand how to use the counterbalance on the wood end. And pictures or help would be appreciated.
thank you,

you try to install the rod as best you can in the middle of what you are cooking or at least through it were it will be reasonably balanced. this will take a bit of trial and error.
now make sure that the weight is loose. now you put it on the ring but not in the motor yet. now let it settle. the heavy part will be on the bottom. so now you put the weight straight up in the air and tighten the end piece to hold the weight in place. now see how it spins. it should rotate easily. it won't be perfect so don't try for that. moving thw weight in and out is how you fine tune it.

I spear the rod through the center of the meat the best I can and I rarely use the counterweight unless I hear a noticeable strain on the motor, especially with heavier cuts of meat.

You unscrew the ring onthe end of the wooden handle and the weight goes on between the ring and woodhandle. Then tighten the ring so that the weight stays in the position that you want.

Thanks. I just got one and after reading this post and looking at the stuff, couldn't get it figured out on how to attach the weight.
