Weber Parts Deals

I see you do a lot of eBay stuff. Do you ever make offers on things? How does that work? I haven't purchased much from ebay.
This one is posted on Poshmark. I have several different sites I check for deals. Absolutely I make offers and usually they get accepted as long as my offer is reasonable. Sometimes they counteroffer.

Ok, that is what I was curious about. I wasn't sure how that worked with the "make offer" option. The Weber Q I snagged for my daughter, is missing the grease tray. So I was trying to find one cheap... because I am guessing I will show her how to use it, and it won't get used at all if I am not present!

I'll see if I can find a deal on one

Great find! That’s an awesome deal for a NOS bikini cover, especially for Genesis Silver A or Spirit 500 owners. At $12 plus shipping, it’s hard to pass up. Thanks for sharing hopefully, someone in the community grabs it before it’s gone!

Yeah you see goof balls on EBay listing things and then putting ridiculous shipping prices. I don't even bother with those listings. I figure anyone not bright enough to pass on those has it coming.
As for making offers especially where it says "Make Offer", go ahead make an offer. More times than not I get the deal made whether I am the seller or the buyer

For me I don't understand why some people get so emotional and upset when it comes to buying and selling. I know what I'm willing to accept and I know what I'm willing to pay. I don't get offended if someone offers me lower than I'm willing to accept and if a seller isn't willing to sell for what I'm willing to pay I don't get upset. Why would I. When I deal with people who get emotional and upset when I'm buying and selling I just respond politely and it seems to catch them off guard.

Yah, I have a good buddy that occasionally buys and sells stuff on FB MP, CL and Ebay. He gets way tooooo emotional and it winds up costing him a lot of times. Plus the fact that he usually feels the stuff he is selling is worth more than it is and thinks everyone selling is on crack. He hems, haws and complains and winds up missing out on a lot of deals and then laments about missing on it. Plus, he is one of those that always thinks they will "never find another deal like that".

You would think by almost 2025 everyone should know that you list stuff for sale above what you want for it... I had a guy go ape :poop: when I asked if he would take $40 while asking $50... it was a really nice looking Silver C. Needless to say, I did not make that purchase. It hung around for a couple weeks at $50 then sold, probably for $40 lol

Not everyone lists stuff with a cushion. I list my rehabs at the price I expect to get for them. I rarely come down, particular in the Spring and early summer season. I might throw in an LP tank or used cover. But that is usually after the deal is basically done. That being said, there are quite a few of those that build in a cushion for the inevitable "offer". I usually won't throw out a below listing offer on anything unless it has been listed for a while already.

I can see that point with what you are selling, Bruce. I also won't offer under on a newer listing, I will watch it for a few days, unless its a price I am comfortable with I will go after it. I am currently in talks with a guy with a pretty nice looking rehab candidate that has been listed for quite a while now. I am still hoping a cheap silver A will show up with a decent cook box yet this fall. Because my collecting season is about wrapped up... Unless a smoking deal (freebie) comes along I can't pass up.
