Weber kettle lid hinge..

Planning on getting the Unknown BBQ lid hinge for my 22kettle, has anyone tried these? Wonder about the weight shift when the lid is raised, any problems? Thanks.
 
I don't have one of these but it looks interesting. Doesn't look like the lid opens perpendicular to the ground so there shouldn't be any weight distribution issues. Maybe just don't use it on a windy day, it might act like a sail and tip your grill over. Also, I wouldn't mount it to a vintage grill, only a new one.
 
Thanks Nate, my kettle is new, I noticed that position of the lid also, good point about the wind, Got a hinge for my WSM and its great, they should install them at the factory.
 
Got the hinge, put on, it's great, no problem with balance, this also should be standard, no more looking for a spot to put the lid.
 
Sorry Michael, have not mastered the pic stuff, but I put it in line with a leg as the instructions suggested, well worth the price , got it direct from Unknown folks, they beat Amazon price big time.
