Weber Genesis Junior Measurement Question

Could somebody with a Genesis Junior please get me the measurement of overall width of the grates. I don't have mine with me and want to double check before cutting grates. If I remember right it's 18 inches tight measurement?

I looked up the Weber Genesis Junior schematic and it showed two equal size grates at 8 7/8 inch but I still wanted to double-check with somebody who has one to be sure.

I wish I could have helped you out Josh. I don't have any JR's in the corral though. You could leave one grate full size and just cut other grate to get the full 18"

Thanks Bruce I appreciate it. Sometimes I just second-guess myself for no reason. Also I thought about cutting just one but I wanted them to be the same size and I can still reuse the cutoffs in a three piece situation on a different Grill if I decide to.

Just finished cutting them. Piece of cake no problems. Just need to clean up the edges a little bit.

At least the easy part is they're the same front to back

Right!
Only had to cut through four bars.
If I also had to cut them for front to back across all the bars I would use a Rail Saw.
