If course I'm going to try and get those 9930's away from him. He has a newer Genesis that they won't fit anyway.Absolutely! You know I would
Perfect! That will be great if you could get those from him. If he doesn't need them for anything they will definitely be very nice for you to have.If course I'm going to try and get those 9930's away from him. He has a newer Genesis that they won't fit anyway.
There really isn't too much else for me to get excited about anyway. I doubt he'll try to restore that thing, but who knows.Perfect! That will be great if you could get those from him. If he doesn't need them for anything they will definitely be very nice for you to have.
It looks a bit damaged. If it was in better shape I would definitely consider restoring it but probably pretty hard to get parts for. Maybe he can use it as is. I'm not sure how well they work I've never used one before. There really isn't too much else for me to get excited about anyway. I doubt he'll try to restore that thing, but who knows.
Yep I definitely agree. I'll be interested to see if you can get those grates. They are based on the first generation Summit, and they are rare here in the US. Unfortunately that one does not appear to be in restorable condition to me. We shall see what he wants to do with it.
I'll go check it out, but...That is pretty sad. That would be a very nice Unicorn to find for someone if it wasn't so beat up
Is that control panel identical to a first generation summit? 400 series lided grill? Or at least the dented part? It's a shame about the big dent in the control panel because it's otherwise in almost perfect shape.
I was just reading your post about yours from January of 2024 and was about you about it.Yes it is. Most of it is interchangeable with a 1st gen 400 series Summit. Steve, I hope you can accept restoring it even though it won’t be perfect. If you decide to part it out, though, I am interested in the sliding lids as mine are very faded. I would gladly put up with a few scratches.
It seems the porcelain firebox panels on these hold up much better than the Summits. I think it is because the open concept vents off the high heat that contributes to the porcelain cracking on the Summits thst have the same panels.
Such a cool piece of Weber history!
