Weber 9930 SS Grates

I’m not there often; it is my grandmother’s old condo that has become this never ending project since she moved out (she’s 95 and mean, so naturally we have her at home now).

You can tell my priorities were in order when it came to working on the place; while much of the interior is in varying states of disrepair, there is a shiny 2022 Genesis on the balcony, which I’ve cooked some ribeyes on. 🤣

FWIW, Weber sold the heavy 304 stainless 3/8" grates back in the day as an option. But the only SS grates the 1st and 2nd gen ones were sold with were the stamped grates. You had to order the others. But, IIRC they did not come out until the 2st generation Summit was introduced

Interesting. I have never seen a 2nd Gen Summit Platinum without 9930s. The gold and silver almost never have them so I always figured they were standard on the summit platinum only.

The 1st gen Summit, came standard with them. And that was when Weber began offering them for the Genesis as an after sale upgrade

2nd Gen Summit Platinum didn't come standard with 9930s?

Oooh I think you were taking about 1st and 2nd Gen Genesis. If so that makes sense.
