Weber 7652 Rotisserie on 2007 E-310?

Hi all, has anyone installed a Weber 7652 rotisserie kit on a 2007/2008 E310 sidewinder? I ordered this and it looks like it almost fits but the bracket puts the motor at the wrong height. It looks to me like it should be easy enough to modify the bracket to make it work but thought I'd check in to see if someone has already done this and has some tips.

The quick solution might be to drill a couple of holes in the cookbox but I don't really want to do that.

From what I can tell, that roto is designed for use with the newer Genesis II 200 and 300 series grills. Yours is the older style Genesis.

I'm confused. Your post sounds like you ordered the Weber 7652 expecting it not to fit. I have to assume you really wanted a rotisserie and couldn't find a better fitting one?
