Weber 7421 Gourmet BBQ System Griddle/ and Ebelskiver for use on SJS

Hello all,
has anyone tried using the following accessories on the smokey Joe?


Weber 7421 Gourmet BBQ System Griddle

or WeberBBQ System Ebelskiver

I am curious, since they are inserts for the 22" they might be good diameter to fit on the Smoky Joe looking for the following types especially Ebelskiver to use on my SJS.
Actually the Ebelskiver grill I would be using for Grilling .. Takoyaki

not sure of the size but i guess they are around 12 inches. kinda expensive and would suggest looking here for something maybe cheaper and better.

as to yer original question, i don't see any reason that they can't be used on a sj.

I have both a SJ and the Griddle and I would agree with George that it could be used. One question that I would have is the airflow. There isn't a great deal of clearance left at the top once the griddle is laid upon the grill. In the short run, that wouldn't create a problem but I would be concerned about keeping the coals lit during an extended use of that setup.

you will have at least 1.5 inches clearance around the edge and i think this will be more than enough to keep the coals going especially on the sj. not sure on the gold.

Thanks George. I have been reluctant to use the griddle on my SJS but based on your wealth of knowledge, I will give it a go soon.

you actually might wanna try lump for a higher heat. let us know how it goes. its the only way we learn.
