Weber 27000 Flame Questions

Why do the ceramic logs that come with the unit have pre drilled holes in certain though not all logs? Are the logs intended to be stacked/linked?

I don't own one and never have personally seen one, so I don't have any other advice on the subject. However, I know a few people on this forum have them and hopefully they will chime in with some first hand experience.

Garret,
Does your Flame have these holes in every faux Log?

I just opened the sealed box for the logs on my new in the box Flame 27000 and checked four of the eight logs and did not see any holes, either on the top or the bottom.

I know on my older Flame currently sitting in about 8" of snow I stack the Logs so that the Flames poke through the large cast holes in the logs.
