I thought about going that route, and noticed that those are readily available on eBay. Just figured the Kettle therm would go higher up in temps. And temp spikes from a long cook might nuke the WSM them.
But this might work - how does the bezel curvature of the 22 1/2 WSM fit the kettle? Would the 18 1/2 bezel fit better? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
It matched up pretty good. I put it opposite the top vent, and I don't notice a gap between the bezel and kettle. If I had put it lower (more on the side of the lid), there would have been a noticeable gap.
