Weber 18.5 SS Grill

Last Fall, after reading a modification thread, I replaced the top grill with a Weber SS hinged 18.5 from their website and could not be happier with its performance. I find it cleans much easier than the original nickel plated grill and is unaffected when I don't clean it immediately after a smoke.

Recently tried to order a 2nd SS grill for the bottom of the WSM and couldn't find it on their website. Placed order with customer service for the SS grill but received a nickel plated one. Customer service said to keep it and would send the SS grill ASAP at no charge!

I replaced the top one with a SS hinged as well. I wasn't aware that Weber made a SS bottom grill for the WSM. Let use know when/if you receive it as it will be much easier to maintain than the original nickel-plated one.

I received the SS grill Saturday afternoon. It is the same size as the top SS grill that you have. In use, it rests on the four bolts just above the water bowl hangers so it is very stable. Highly recommended.
