Web ui blower issue

Hello,
I've recently noticed that when I refresh the Heatermeter web ui in my browser that the blower and servo output quickly change to 0% then back to where they were at before I refreshed the page. It happens very quickly.

Well when the page loads the bar starts at 0 then changes to the proper value. If you're seeing it as everything being off then a second or so later the data loads, this is usually because the time is different between your HeaterMeter and your browser. HeaterMeter packs the latest data into the page to save this initial round trip, but if the browser determines the data isn't fresh (within a couple of seconds) it discards it and reloads. That could be what you're seeing.

I also noticed that the actual blower and damper on my bge are affected by the web refresh as well. The blower shuts off and the damper closes, then goes back to its previous state as soon as the page is refreshed. I'll check out the time clock. Thank you Bryan.

Oh! Well in that case something is seriously wrong. It sounds like the HeaterMeter is rebooting when you refresh the web page and that should not happen. In fact, I'm not sure how it can possibly happen if the page refreshes but the HeaterMeter reboots. That means that the Pi kept 5V but the HeaterMeter couldn't maintain 3.3V. The 3.3V is fed from the 5V so the resultant behavior is rather improbable considering refreshing the webpage is a Pi-only operation. If the page refresh is taking 30 seconds then the whole shebang is rebooting and that shouldn't happen either.

Yeah I just tried it again. I'm not sure if it has something to do with my wifi connection because if the page refresh lags a little I notice the output drop. When the page refreshes quickly I don't notice anything. When it does lag it will sometimes drop then raise on the refresh and trigger lid open. It hasn't stopped me from doing plenty of 16+ hour cooks, which was my whole reason for looking into a BBQ controller in the first place, and it only seems to do it if I'm messing around with the web page. Thank you very much for the help, I will try to get a video up when I get a chance to show the issue that I'm having.
