Venison Ham Roast

I just got my WSM 18.5 about a week ago, have used it a couple of times and absolutely love it. Of course I've using Weber Grills for 30 years nothing better.

Anyway I am going to do a venison roast on it for New Years Day ... I'm guessing it will cook up like a beef roast would. Any suggestions?

The problem I have found with venison is it is so lean that they dry out quick. I would inject it with some creole butter or something that will add some moisture or depending how you like it cooked maybe do like a rib roast and smoke till 130 IT then sear for a good crust.
