I'm going to the next level on my HM setup -
1) How did people wire up the standard fan? I took a CAT 5 ethernet cable, cut off the end, soldered the wires and used electrical tap with a single wire tie around the fan as a strain relief.
2) I'm working on a weather proof/mobile setup - my setup could very well be entirely out in the weather - I don't have an awning or a porch to work under. Sometimes I have a large table umbrella,...
a) Will this connector work to power up the HM from a 12V source (motorcycle battery most probably) http://tinyurl.com/yac6fd9u
b) What did you do to protect the fan from the elements? Mostly I'm thinking of rain. Some sort of hood?
