Vacation Food (Long Beach Island, NJ)


 
Glad you could take some time off from cooking and working to focus more on your cooking. Is this new forum in higher resolution, or are your pictures somehow even better?

cooking is a vacation! it's funny when people tell us not to cook because we are on vacation. There's no way I won't cook something when surrounded by new, fresh local stuff.

I need to know the details on those Crab stuffed Clams.
Seriously, I'm not kidding. I really need to know.

steam the clams until they open, let them cool enough so you can get the clam out and chopped it up

render some bacon, soften some celery and onion in the bacon fat, add old bay, parsley, crab, chopped clams, and bread crumbs (add some butter or evoo if the mix is too dry to pack into the shells)

pack the shells and bake until browned
