Food truck doing Texas-style barbecue in a gravel parking lot with outdoor tables but no shade--hot, Hot, HOT! Big Lud's also does catering.
We ordered a brisket sammie, a pulled pork sammie, and a small mac & cheese--emphasis on the word "small", it was tasty but really tiny when shared by two. Both meats were abundant and tasty but without much discernable smoke flavor. The sauce was thin and almost oily, I don't know what it consisted of, but I like it and they claimed to be famous for their sauce. Our biggest complaint was the buns. They were cornmeal-dusted buns that looked like they should be soft and fluffy, but were dry and too firm. So thumbs up on the meat despite lack of smoke, but thumbs down on the buns.
Big Lud's BBQ also offers sausage, chicken, baby back ribs, turkey breast in various combinations of sammies, plates, platters, and family feasts.
Apologies, no food photos!
