Using sand...

Being new here...hence the beginners forum...Im curious about the use of sand. Where do you get the sand that you use, and do you take any precautions like boiling ahead of time to get any nasties out?

May be a dumb question but Im curious.

I just yesterday bought a 50 lb bag of play sand at Lowe's to use with my WSM. There was some sort of label on the sand about it having gone through some kind of cleansing process (so that it could be used as play sand, I guess).

Someone here posted that they had seen a bag of sand at Home Depot with a toxic warning label. But my guess is that any play sand should be ok to use.
